How to Get Tech Support for Distance Learning

Let’s ensure our teachers can focus on teaching and not tech support! If your child is struggling with technical difficulties, try one of these options: 

  1. Get help from an AV parent volunteer in your child’s class: Click Here for the parent helper list.  Most classrooms have at least one parent helper assigned.  If your child’s does not, feel free to call another parent from the same grade or anyone else on the list!
  2. Get help from SPUSD tech support: Hotline number: (805) 285-2526 (8:00-3:30 starting April 6) or [email protected]

You can still add your name to the list of parent helpers!   We will take more helpers for any classroom, but we NEED helpers for these classrooms: Reddy, Giberson, and K. Clark.

Attention 5th Grade Parents: Photos and T-Shirt Size Needed

Please snap a photo of your child or family showing us how you are positively coping with being home. Send photos ASAP as deadlines are fast approaching to [email protected] Here are some examples:

-Show an activity that your child is enjoying at home.
-Display a sign for what your child is grateful for (be sure to include faces)
-Show us a photo of your child with their schoolwork or anything that they have learned at home. 

Also, please take a moment to complete this form  to tell us your child’s t-shirt size for 5th Grade T-shirt. If we do not receive your size, your child will receive a Youth Large.

Distance Learning Program Information

The district announced that SPUSD schools will be closed till the end of the school year. Distance learning will continue through the end of the school year. Any additional information you need regarding distance learning can be found at  spusd.net and arroyo.spusd.net

General PTA Meeting May 20th

Due to the COVID-19 Emergency we will be rescheduling our General PTA meeting and Executive Board election to a virtual platform on May 20th. Time TBD. Stay tuned for more details.

On February 19, the Nominating Committee presented to those in attendance the following slate of candidates for next year’s Executive Board. On May 20th General Association PTA meeting, those in attendance will vote upon next year’s Executive Board.
