Wish Night

Our virtual Back to School Night on Thursday was a big success. Thank you to everyone who chose to make a financial impact in your child’s classroom and school by donating to Wish Night.  As of this week, we have 40% Wish Night participation! It is NOT TOO LATE to push that number higher! Your teachers, staff, and administration  appreciate every dollar, and 100% of your donation stays right here at AV. Thank you, AV families!  Have we mentioned that you’re the best?

Here’s how to do it: Donate online at ptav.org/wish-night, drop off a check at the AV front office, or snail-mail a check (along with your donation form) to: Arroyo Vista, Attn: Wish Night, 335 El Centro St.

Got questions? Contact, Erik Gammell, VP of Wish Night.

Introducing “The Bright Side” Project

Has the Pandemic brought out your family’s creative side? If so, we have good news: The AV PTA is putting together a new publication called, “The Bright Side,” where families can share their unique experiences during this unprecedented time. We intend to publish photos, artwork, recipes, how-to-articles, creative writing, and more.  What would your family like to share in this precious piece of AV history?

Stay tuned! Submission guidelines and more information coming soon!

New Equity/Inclusion Committee

We are excited to introduce the Equity/Inclusion Committee coming soon to AV. Following the lead of our thoughtful and hardworking SPUSD School Board, AV PTA will be expanding it’s already existing Cultural Inclusion Committee to explore how to bring equity into the culture and classrooms of AV. Want to be involved? Keep an eye on the Weekly Wildcat for more information coming in the coming weeks.

Fall Forms

Fall forms are no longer active but you can still join the PTA (no volunteering necessary!) donate, and sign up to volunteer. Here’s how:

Recorded Meetings

Did you miss one of the many school-related meetings? We’ve got you covered. Find past recorded meetings, agendas, financial documents, and the zoom link for all public PTA meetings  HERE.

Technical Assistance

If your child is struggling with technical difficulties, try one of these options:

  1. Parent tech helper list.
  2.  SPUSD tech support hotline: (805) 285-2526
  3.  SPUSD tech support email:  [email protected]

Tip: If your class doesn’t have a helper and you’re in a tech pinch… try calling a helper from another class.
