Principal Sinclair Meet and Greet
AV has a NEW PRINCIPAL!
Please join your AV PTA leaders as we host a virtual Meet and Greet with our new Principal, Kim Sinclair. Get to know a little more about Principal Sinclair and the exciting new energy she will bring to our great school!

New Equity/Inclusion Committee
We are excited to introduce the Equity/Inclusion Committee coming soon to AV. Following the lead of our thoughtful and hardworking SPUSD School Board, AV PTA will be expanding it’s already existing Cultural Inclusion Committee to explore how to bring equity into the culture and classrooms of AV. Look forward to more information and how you can be involved in the next couple of weeks via the Weekly Wildcat and your inbox!
Back2Class South Pas: Virtual 5K Fundraiser
SPHS varsity cross country athletes, Lindsay Michels and Sydney Morrow have organized a virtual 5K to benefit the Back2Class Fundraiser! There is still time to register!
Race Date: August 6-8
Although SPUSD will be on a 100% distance-learning model in August, we must prepare for the day when school doors open again. Each dollar we continue to raise will go towards necessary protection equipment to keep our students and teachers safe. Money raised today protects other line-items in our budget from being depleted in the future!
**Participants who register after July 21 will receive their tee-shirt in the mail after the race.
It’s not to late to register on Facebook!

We Need Tech Volunteers
Calling all parents who are comfortable with technology! AV teachers were thrilled with last spring’s group of parent tech-volunteers and have asked AV PTA to PLEASE continue to help support our families and teachers during virtual learning in the fall. We are especially in need of TK and Kinder tech-volunteers.
We are seeking tech-savvy parent-volunteers who:
- know their way around Google Classroom and are comfortable learning new platforms
- are available to help parents access various distance learning programs
- can solve minor technical issues
- are available to take calls and answer texts or emailsIf this is you, please consider adding your name and contact information to this list. We are hoping to recruit at least one or two parents from each classroom. You don’t have to be a tech genius, just someone willing and available to help out and troubleshoot!
