JOG-A-THON IS THIS FRIDAY 2/10!

We are so excited for our Jog-A-Thon happening this Friday, 2/10! Please have your children wear their AV blue and red or AV spirit wear to show school spirit!

AV is proud to be going green! Please send your children to school with a refillable water bottle, labeled with their name so that they are prepared to hydrate on Friday after their big run.

All parents are welcome back on campus this year to cheer during the Jog-a-thon!

5th Grade Parents Needed!

Each month, a different grade will be asked to volunteer to keep our drop-off lanes running. Without volunteers, we will have to close the lanes. February is 5th grade month. If you are a 5th grade parent, please, please, please sign up for a day or 3 or 4. We need 4 volunteers per day! Sign Up HERE.

Planetarium Assembly Recap

Your patience during our day of filming paid off! AV was treated to an extra assembly with the Sky Dome Planetarium, paid for with a portion of the funds from filming done in front of AV in January. Students learned to identify planets in our solar system in dramatic “flights” towards each world, and were introduced to Greek mythological characters that can be found in the stars! The PTA would like to give a big THANK YOU to Janis Ortega for her role in bringing the portable planetarium back to AV! Thank you also to Patti Urzua, Jenn Koca, O’ryan McKinney-Bruskin, and Erik Gammell for their help.

Science Fair – February 23
