Bring the whole family to pack breakfasts and lunches for local food-insecure youth! Food bags provide nourishment during Spring Break for students who rely on school-provided meals. Read books addressing food-insecurity, and continue the conversation at home with our take-home talking points! Email Kelly Kwan for more information.

Read Across America Week Recap

This year’s Read Across America week was a huge success! Thank you to all of our guest readers: Mr. Bob Joe, LT Robledo SPPD, Erik Gammell, Cynthia Pedroza, Sam and Amber Jaeger, Antonio and Jeanine Elefano, Judy Neeb, Dr. Oren Boxer, Elaine Ricci, Officer Nick Gadoy, Beth Mauceli, Mr. Ross, Sarika Garg-Schwab, Patti Urzua, Tammy Han, Jenny Stofer, Esther Lee-Mar, Zahir Robb, Yvonne Shay, Detective Lee SPPD, Andrew Lippman, Principal Sinclair, and Principal Busick. A special thanks to all the volunteers that gave their time, and to Whiskers for making a guest appearance. A huge shout out to this year’s RAA committee chair, Sanly Yuen, for putting together such an incredible event for the students, staff, and the AV community!

Askable Adult Workshop – March 16

4th Grade Parents Needed!

Each month, a different grade will be asked to volunteer to keep our drop-off lanes running. Without volunteers, we will have to close the lanes. March is 4th grade month. If you are a 4th grade parent, please, please, please sign up for a day or 3 or 4. We need 4 volunteers per day! Sign Up HERE.

All City Track Meet 2023

It’s time to lace up your shoes and register for the All City Track Meet where the AV Wildcats compete against South Pasadena elementary schools in track and field events!

Event Dates: Friday, April 21st – Saturday, April 22nd
This year’s track meet will take place over two days. See the flyer below and visit SPACTM.org for event details.
(This event is for grades K-5 only, but TK is encouraged to come out and cheer for their school as they look forward to participating in years to come.)

Relay Team Try-Outs will be held at school during recess or PE the Week of March 20th – 24th. More details to come.
