AV is proud to be going green! Please send your children to school with a refillable water bottle, labeled with their name so that they are prepared to hydrate on Friday after their big run.

Read Across America Week Recap
Even after a year off, Read Across America was a tremendous success. Thank you to all the volunteer parent readers and community readers (David Plenn from the Dinosaur Farm, the South Pasadena Police Department, and Mr. Ross just to name a few). Whiskers also made an appearance in many of our youngest readers’ classrooms! A local citizen came by with her mobile Little Free Library and handed out 60 books, a grandparent made the Pigeon driving the bus as a fun photo op, and the kids had a blast dressing up each day. All in all, what a nice way to bring the community and a sense of normalcy back to AV. Thank you to Mrs. Baydaline for her library support, and finally, thank you especially to Monica Ott and Natalie Barral for co-chairing the committee and escorting community readers to classrooms all week.

Wish Night Update
It’s March and many of our classrooms are so thankful to have your Wish Night donations to enrich the experience of our students! Check out Mrs. Wahbe’s classroom that created lava lamps with Whiskers.
As classroom gifts are utilized, we want to remind our AV community Wish Night is all year and contributions can continue to be made. We have 3 more months so consider making a small contribution if you can.
These can be made online at ptav.org/wish-night or mail a check along with your donation form to: Arroyo Vista, Attn: Wish Night, 335 El Centro St.
