Movie Night Recap
Food Trucks, Inflatables, and Movie Buckets….oh my! The 2023 AV Movie Night was a huge success, bringing together community and raising funds for the 5th Grade Promotion (5GP).
It was a full K-12 effort, with a photo booth provided by the SPMS PTA, and several inflatable and concessions volunteers from SPHS!
Our 5GP chairs, Stella Jang and Jenn Koca, introduced limited edition movie buckets benefiting our 5th graders, and provided a variety of other concessions! Also supporting 5GP, AV parents Judy and Eric Fong donated their time and talent to offer sit upons and the sold-out, light-up balloon bracelets for families to enjoy!
THANK YOU to our amazing Movie Night chairs, Noël Mika Bahamón, and Edgar Varela, for the months of planning and work required to pull off such an incredible community event! This is Noël’s 6th time chairing the event, who thanks Edgar for stepping up into this co-chair role, notably helping bring the food trucks on site. Families enjoyed dinner offerings from Windsor Hills Pizza Company, and VCHOS Pupuseria. If you know any others that would be interested in providing food for the next one, please reach out!
Wish Night Is Not Over – We Still Need Your Help!
While we have been working for the last 7 weeks to raise funds for Wish Night, we have stalled at 59% participation. Last year, we hit 75%, allowing our staff to have access to the materials needed to create the incredible education our kids recieve. If we stay where we are some of our staff will see their budgets slashed by half. Donate today at ptav.org/wish-night or drop your form and donation at the front office. Let’s go Wildcats!

4th Grade Parents Needed!
Each month, a different grade will be asked to volunteer to keep our drop-off lanes running. Without volunteers, we will have to close the lanes. October is 4th grade month. If you are a 4th grade parent, please, please, please sign up for a day or 3 or 4. We need 4 volunteers per day! Sign Up HERE.
