Ready, Set . . .NO SWEAT!
WHAT DO FIELD TRIPS, SCIENCE NIGHT & ART HAVE IN COMMON?

That they’re all brought to you by No Sweat Funding!

AV’s No Sweat Fundraiser kicked off Monday, and we need our community to rally. No Sweat is one of our three big fundraisers and helps fund the PTA budget for the entire year.

Movie Night? No Sweat makes it possible.
All School Sing? No Sweat helps bring it to life.
Science Night? No Sweat brings hands-on learning to our community.
Art Cart, Art Docents, Art Happenings? No Sweat supports those, too!

The list goes on and on. If you love something at AV, No Sweat helps support it.

Please consider donating today. Every contribution, at any amount, makes a difference.

Final Playground Social – Friday September 25th!

Our last Playground Social of the year is happening this Friday for our 1st grade families. The Doran gate will be open Friday, the 18th at 5pm.

Friday Night Playground Socials are a chance for families to meet, socialize, and connect with others in their grade while giving kids a little extra time to play on the playground.

Whether you are new to AV or this is your last year, bring a picnic and come join us. It is a great opportunity to meet other caregivers, put faces to names, and start building connections within your grade!

Getting Ready for Movie Night? First things first: SNACKS!

Pre-order your $25 Movie Night Popcorn Bucket now and come prepared for a night of Minions, monsters, and ALL the snacks.

By an overwhelming 80% vote, AV students chose Minions & Monsters for this year’s Movie Night! We’ll have two screenings on Friday, October 2: an early showing at 5:30ish for our younger students and students who benefit from accommodations, followed by our main screening on the field at sundown. And no, we didn’t forget the inflatables and photo booth!

Each $25 popcorn bucket comes packed with a mix of savory + sweet goodies and some very on-theme surprises. And, no, it isn’t BANANAS! Well… not just bananas.

Pre-order HERE.

Buckets will be ready for you at Movie Night, so you can skip the concession line and get straight to the good stuff.

Please remember that Movie Night is not a drop-off event and is intended for current AV students and their invited families.

AV Equity Meeting Thursday October 1st!

Our first AV Equity Meeting of the year is scheduled for Thursday, October 1st at 7 pm via ZOOM. We would love for you to join us! We’ll discuss this year’s plans, ideas, and initiatives to help make our school community a place where everyone feels welcomed, included, and celebrated.

Movie Night Help Needed!

We still need a few more volunteers for the Movie Night concessions stand—especially for the time slots once the movie starts. Think of it as your chance to escape the floor (and your children!), and enjoy some quality adult conversation while selling popcorn and snacks.

Please consider signing up for a shift here. We’d really appreciate the help

AV’s Got a New Home (base)!

You’ve taken your First Steps, and now you’ve got a Homebase!

Wildcat Homebase is your one-stop spot for all kinds of PTA things. You can find membership, check out each classroom’s Wish Night campaign, update your volunteer preferences, and, if you’re a PTA member, access our school directory.

You don’t need an account to take a look, although we’d love for you to create one so you can keep everything in one place and easily come back anytime.

Consider this your invitation to come on home and take a peek!
