No Sweat is Making Us Sweat!
The AV PTA needs your help with our No Sweat Campaign.
There are no bake sales, wrapping paper catalogs, or door-to-door sales. We just ask all of our families who can support us to make a quick, direct contribution that goes 100% to our kids’ programs.
Our No Sweat Campaign is what turns a regular school year into an unforgettable one:
- Movie Night
- All School Sing
- Science Night
- Grade Level Field Trips
- Makerspace
Where We Are Today
We’re currently only at 20% of our goal (we’ve raised less than $10K)! We are trailing behind where we were at this point last year, but with two weeks left, we can easily cross the finish line together.
Give to the No Sweat Campaign Here. (Deadline: Wednesday, October 14)
It takes less than 60 seconds to make your gift, don’t forget corporate matching. Thank you for continuing the momentum you started at Wish Night and making AV such a special place for our students.
With gratitude,
Arroyo Vista PTA
Get Cleared to Volunteer!
Movie Night is an AV favorite, and this year, we’re making it easy to watch Minions & Monsters and get cleared to volunteer, all in one evening!
Still need to complete your volunteer certification? We’ll be offering on-site approvals at Movie Night! The process includes a verbal TB assessment (no need to run to the doctor!), a simple questionnaire, and a review of your ID. Bring your ID and get cleared to volunteer in the classroom, on campus, and even chaperone field trips!
Want to learn more about clearances click HERE
Are you an RN, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or MD? We need your help! We’re looking for medical professionals to assist with our on-site verbal TB assessments. If you’re able to lend a hand, please reach out to our PTA President at president@ptav.org for more information.
AV Equity Meeting Thursday October 1st!
Our first AV Equity Meeting of the year is scheduled for Thursday, October 1st at 7 pm via ZOOM. We would love for you to join us! We’ll discuss this year’s plans, ideas, and initiatives to help make our school community a place where everyone feels welcomed, included, and celebrated.
Movie Night is this Friday! We Need YOU!
AV Movie Night is coming up this Friday, October 2nd, and we need your help to make it happen! A huge thank-you to everyone who has already signed up for concessions. Want to join the fun? We’re looking for volunteers to hand out popcorn, sell candy, and help keep the snacks flowing. All concessions proceeds benefit Fifth Grade Promotion (5GP)!
SIGN UP FOR CONCESSIONS –> HERE
We also need helping hands for set-up, clean-up (we know, we know), and other event positions. Shifts are just 1 to 1.5 hours, so you can pitch in without missing the whole evening. Parents and local high school students are welcome, and high schoolers can earn volunteer hours!
SIGN UP FOR EVENT VOLUNTEER SHIFTS –> HERE
We truly can’t make Movie Night happen without our volunteers. Come lend a hand!
Getting Ready for Movie Night? First things first: SNACKS!
Pre-order your $25 Movie Night Popcorn Bucket now and come prepared for a night of Minions, monsters, and ALL the snacks.
By an overwhelming 80% vote, AV students chose Minions & Monsters for this year’s Movie Night! We’ll have two screenings on Friday, October 2: an early showing at 5:30ish for our younger students and students who benefit from accommodations, followed by our main screening on the field at sundown. And no, we didn’t forget the inflatables and photo booth!
Each $25 popcorn bucket comes packed with a mix of savory + sweet goodies and some very on-theme surprises. And, no, it isn’t BANANAS! Well… not just bananas.
Pre-order HERE.
Buckets will be ready for you at Movie Night, so you can skip the concession line and get straight to the good stuff.
Please remember that Movie Night is not a drop-off event and is intended for current AV students and their invited families.
Reflections 2026 is Officially Open!
Reflections is a chance for our students to share their artistic gifts. Whether through dance, music, film, photography, visual arts, or literature, Reflections allows our students to let their creativity shine and express themselves in new ways.
This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means to Me.”
Submissions are due October 5th. Scan the QR code or click here to get started and learn more!
