What a fantastic start to the year! The biggest thank you to everyone who has already contributed. But wait, our job is not done. Let’s keep this energy going! Every single dollar has the potential to shape your child(ren)’s journey.
Ready to donate? Go to ptav.org/wish-night, pop it into the mail to 335 El Centro, South Pasadena, or drop it at the front office – just make sure it is marked “Wish Night.” Whether you contribute to your Classroom Fund, the School-Wide programs, or the Principal’s Discretionary Fund, your donation directy impacts their experience and helps shape memories they’ll cherish.
Picture Day THIS Wednesday!
Picture day for all classrooms is this Wednesday, September 6th! Your kiddo(s) should have received order forms for cash and check payments. You can also pay with credit card HERE using the school code: WUNHPZ now through picture day.

9 Months of Wellness
5th Grade Parents Needed!
Each month, a different grade will be asked to volunteer to keep our drop-off lanes running. Without volunteers, we will have to close the lanes. September is 5th grade month. If you are a 5th grade parent, please, please, please sign up for a day or 3 or 4. We need 4 volunteers per day! Sign Up HERE.
Bike Bus – EVERY Tuesday!
The Bike is now riding weekly! Join the fun, make some friends, and enjoy the fresh air every Tuesday morning starting 7:55am. For more info, see https://southpasactive.org
Traffic Reminders
The AV PTA would like to remind everyone that the safety of our students, staff, and families is of the utmost importance.
Do’s
- Take your time driving around campus.
- Be extra cautious when driving through intersections.
- Lookout for pedestrians & bikers.
- When possible, park a few blocks away from campus and walk.
- Utilize crosswalks & crossing guards.
Don’ts
- Don’t double park while dropping off & picking up your child.
- Don’t j-walk or cross without the guard.
- Don’t park or drop off your child in red zones.
- Don’t block or park in driveways.
- Doran St. (Back Gate) is closed to cars.
We encourage walking and biking!
There is a bike locker on campus for kids to store their bikes and scooters
