Reflections 2026 is Officially Open!

Reflections is a chance for our students to share their artistic gifts. Whether through dance, music, film, photography, visual arts, or literature, Reflections allows our students to let their creativity shine and express themselves in new ways.

This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means to Me.”

Submissions are due October 5th. Scan the QR code or click here to get started and learn more!

Friday Art Cart is Back!

Every Friday morning, volunteers will bring out a cart full of art supplies for the kids to enjoy during recess. A fun and simple way to spark some creativity and joy on the playground — and the kids absolutely love it!

When: Fridays, 10 – 10:45am | morning recess 1st – 5th graders

We’d love for you to join us — SIGN UP HERE for as many shifts as you’d like!

Thank you for helping make Friday Art Cart a highlight of the week!

Playground Socials!

Our Playground Socials are off to a great start! We will be pausing for the next two weekends in honor of the upcoming holidays, but our Doran gate will be open Friday, the 18th, to welcome our 2nd-grade families.

Friday Night Playground Socials are a chance for families to meet, socialize, and connect with others in their grade while giving kids a little extra time to play on the playground.

Whether you are new to AV or this is your last year, bring a picnic and come join us. It is a great opportunity to meet other caregivers, put faces to names, and start building connections within your grade.

No Sweat Fundraiser Sept 14th – Save the Date!

Would you rather sell gift wrap or chocolates?

Good news, AV families… you don’t have to choose! Skip the door-to-door selling, the “Mom, who are we supposed to sell this to?” texts, and the awkward family group chat requests.

With our NO SWEAT FUNDRAISER, you can simply make a donation and call it a day! No gift wrap. No chocolate. No sweat.

Your support helps make all the fun AV programs and events possible and we’re pretty sure that’s the sweetest deal of all!

Donate. Support. Done.

Details to follow.

AV Movie Night is October 2nd!

This Week at AV!

How is it September! Another great week at Arroyo Vista. Want to see it all? Head over to Instagram for photos and highlights from the week.

Every Classroom Wins a Popsicle Party!

First Steps participation was so high across all grades that EVERY classroom is getting a popsicle party! Thank you for showing up for AV in such a big way.

We’re also excited to celebrate every family who submitted their First Steps by August 24. You’re officially Founding Members of this year’s PTA! Keep an eye out for your exclusive AV merch, which will be distributed to classrooms in the coming weeks.

If you haven’t completed your First Steps, you can still complete it here.

Thank you to every classroom, every Founding Member, and every family who took the time to participate. Your participation helps our PTA plan a school-year filled with wonderful events and volunteer opportunities.

Our Classrooms Need You!

We’re just shy of our initial 70% goal, but our biggest Wish Night wish is to see every teacher’s classroom goal met! There’s still time to donate and help make that happen.

Go to our school store HERE to donate!

AV’s Got a New Home (base)!

You’ve taken your First Steps, and now you’ve got a Homebase!

Wildcat Homebase is your one-stop spot for all kinds of PTA things. You can find membership, check out each classroom’s Wish Night campaign, update your volunteer preferences, and, if you’re a PTA member, access our school directory.

You don’t need an account to take a look, although we’d love for you to create one so you can keep everything in one place and easily come back anytime.

Consider this your invitation to come on home and take a peek!
