Wish Night

What is Wish Night?

Wish Night is held in conjunction with Back-To-School Night. It’s an opportunity for parents to meet their child(ren)’s teacher(s) and learn about some of the engaging programs and projects their child(ren) will be involved in during the school year.

Each year, we ask our teachers to compile a list of supplemental equipment, technology, books, and supplies that would greatly benefit child(ren)’s classroom. Wish Night provides you, as parents, with an opportunity to directly contribute to your child’s classroom and help provide these essential materials that might otherwise be unaffordable.

How is the money from Wish Night distributed within Arroyo Vista?

Your generous donations through Wish Night are thoughtfully distributed among three important areas at Arroyo Vista, according to your preferences. Here’s how the funds are allocated:

Your Child’s Classroom: You can specify how much of your donation should go to your child’s classroom. This ensures that their learning environment is well-equipped and enriched with the necassary resources.

School-Wide Programs: By contributing to the School-Wide programs, such as the School Field Trip Fund, Speech and Occupational Therapy, Visuals Arts, Drama & Music, you play a crucial role in enhancing the overall educational experience for all childrem at Arroyo Vista.

Principal’s Discretionary Fund: Some parents may choose to allocate part of their donation to the Principal’s Discretionary Fund. This fund allows the principal to address urgent needs or support specific iniatives that benefit the school community as a whole.

A list of the school-wide programs is detailed on the attached Wish Night Contribution form.

Can I contribute later in the year?

Yes. The PTA accepts donations throughout the school year. However, if teachers receive their Wish Night contributions early in the year, it makes it easier for them to budget accordingly.

Your Wish Night contribution is 100% tax-deductible as a charitable contribution (Tax ID #95-6206522).

Many companies will match your contribution.  Don’t forget to find out if yours is one of them.

Contribute online below, drop your form and donation at the front office, or mail a check along with your donation form to: Arroyo Vista, Attn: Wish Night, 335 El Centro St.
